The Golden Warriors (7-0) quest for a perfect dual meet season faces a stiff test today. When these teams both competed at the Freeport Invite last month, Byron was first in the varsity standings with Sterling a close second.
Sterling travels to LaSalle-Peru/Ottawa to close out the dual meet season next Tuesday.
Senior Emily Lofgren turned in a strong performance at the UT Sprint Invite (SHS won the team title) Saturday with 3rd place finishes in both the 250 free and 50 breast.
Sophomore Hazel Pham won the 50 fly, placed second in the 50 free and swam a pair of winning relay teams Saturday at UT.
Junior Madison Austin is seeded to win both of her events today: the 50 free and 100 back. With the exception of the 500 free (yet to swim it), Austin has won every traditional individual event at least once this season.
